For this family session I recommended Streetsville Memorial Park in Mississauga because it was easy to get to, central and offered some unique photo spots. I enjoyed exploring the area while interacting with the family to capture some genuine, natural and candid family photos.

Seeing the natural energy these kids shared was great. I especially loved capturing the candid family photos since so you can really get a sense of how much fun the kids had together!

When preparing for a family session, I always tell my clients not to put too much emphasis that a photographer is going to be taking photos. Instead, I ask the mom or dad to build some excitement by telling the kids that they’re meeting up with someone to play. I then do my best to carry on with that energy when we get together. If all goes as planned, we will have played some games and had some laughs. When I’m capturing family photos you won’t have to worry about making sure everyone is smiling and looking at the camera. I will ensure we get some photos of everyone looking and other photos focusing on family interaction.

I have three kids of my own so I know how important it is to be present in photos so that we can look back one day and remember some fond memories so it was my pleasure to capture these family photos!
