Fall is probably my favourite season. The colours and warmth create the perfect atmosphere to capture great photographs.

I was lucky enough to spend some time with this lovely family in the Fall last year and we had such a great time walking around High Park discovering some nice little spots for photos.

Aside from capturing some classic portraits, part of my process also includes just mildly directing instead of only posing, which might include me saying something like "I really love the light in this spot here, can you guys go over there and just have some fun!" Sometimes, that's all I have to say and of course I have to be ready to capture the photos at just the right time!

I think that's part of the fun about being a family photographer - you have to anticipate when it's going to be the right time to snap the photo and with kids, the moments move fast!
